HATrend Wave Pro Auto Strategy
HATWP Auto Strategy V1.1
Automated structure-based entry, execution, and trade management for NinjaTrader 8.
Overview
HATWP Auto Strategy V1.1 is a fully automated NinjaTrader 8 strategy that trades futures using a disciplined, rules-based approach to market structure. Rather than reacting to a single signal, it waits for structure, trend bias, and price confirmation to line up before it ever places an order — then manages the entire trade from entry through targets, breakeven, and exit without manual intervention.
Built on the HATWP signal engine, V1.1 refines the entry logic of the original release with tighter structure detection, more robust trigger handling, and configurable risk controls, giving you consistent, repeatable execution of a defined plan.
Key Features
Dual-Dot Structure Confirmation The strategy reads market structure from paired signal dots. A long setup requires a higher swing high and a higher swing low; a short requires a lower high and a lower low. Mixed or unclear structure arms nothing — keeping you out of choppy, directionless conditions.
Two-Stage Entry Logic Structure arms a direction, trend bias must confirm it, and price must then reclaim the trailing stop line before entry fires. This layered gate is designed to filter premature signals and require genuine follow-through.
Three Selectable Entry Modes Choose how strict the entry filter is:
- Both — full dual-dot structure plus bias confirmation
- Structure Only — trade on structure alone
- Bias Only — trade on trend bias alone
Multi-Target Profit Staging Stage up to three profit targets with configurable target types (risk/reward or ATR-based), so you can scale out of positions on your own terms.
Automatic Breakeven Protection Optionally move your stop to breakeven once the first target is hit, reducing exposure as a trade works in your favor.
Flexible Stop Management Run stops off the dynamic signal line or a fixed trailing-tick distance — whichever fits your instrument and style.
Market-Safe Order Handling An optional guard prevents the strategy from submitting a stop on the wrong side of the market during fast reversals, protecting against order rejections and keeping the strategy running through volatile conditions.
Built-In Daily Risk Guards Set a daily loss limit and a daily profit target. When either is reached, the strategy stops taking new trades for the session — enforcing discipline automatically.
Session Time Control Define your trading window with start and stop times, and optionally flatten all positions at session end.
Per-Cycle and Re-Entry Controls Cap how many entries the strategy takes per directional cycle and manage re-entries, so a single trend isn't over-traded.
Debug Transparency An optional detailed log outputs every structure read, arm, trigger, and order event — useful for validating behavior in Sim and Market Replay before going live.
How It Works
- Watch — the strategy continuously reads structure and trend bias from the signal engine.
- Arm — when structure lines up cleanly in one direction, that direction is armed.
- Confirm — trend bias must agree, and price must reclaim the trailing stop line.
- Execute — the entry fires and stop, targets, and breakeven logic take over automatically.
- Manage — the trade is managed tick-by-tick through targets and trailing exit, all within your daily risk limits and session window.
